Websense

I must find a way to bypass the websense proxy. Internet is such an important thing in our lives today and limiting it just doesn't make sense. At least give us some trust and who wants to surf porns in office anyway - duh. If bandwidth is an issue, they should find the culprit and not banning all the sites including "soccernet". Weird but true.

I swallowed beef

I met a friend (male) today and we had dinner in Dome KLCC. I ordered Spicy Olio Spaghetti + Caesar's salad. The Spaghetti was ok but the Caesar's salad is pure crap. It doesn't taste good because the veg wasn't fresh and I swallowed the beef in it. Given a choice, I'd rather go for Chilli's but as usual, they are always full. Madam Kwan's full, Genki & Sushi King is also full. Dinner @ KLCC is painful sometimes :)

The power of VTEC

Honda makes superb engine and this can be seen from their DOHC VTEC's. I have a great passion for cars and I'd love to own one but I'm a poor man. Nothing is going right at the present moment and I've got nothing but a piece of scrap metal.

This clip below from YouTube shows the VTEC in action and the odometer is in km/h. Look at the rpm and acceleration. Cool isn't it? :) Want a fast car? Consider a Honda VTEC.

Fat

I'm fat and I really am! I had Mc. D fried chicken for dinner again. On average, I have at least one Mc. D fried chicken value meal every week for the past month. It's not good in the long run and to have a balance diet, I should eat something else like roasted duck rice or sweet and sour pork. I love to eat so much and have such a great passion for food. This is terrible and damaging, especially to my weight. Btw, sometimes the fat in our body tends to fill up certain areas which is totally out of our control. Don't believe? Believe it (look at me) - sobs.

Complexity + Perfectionist

I am a complex person and I keep a lot of things to myself. It's not easy to understand me totally and to some, I might be weird. Well, perhaps I turn from mad to weird over the years, lol. I am a perfectionist, just like how a typical Aquarian is and this sometimes causes problems. It is for the fact that not everyone would think like me and be a perfectionist like me therefore having high expectation on others would only lead to problems and disappointment. I am such a "pain in the ass" to certain people sometimes and I feel sorry for myself.

www.coolmalaysian.com

www.coolmalaysian.com is the latest work by me. I installed the forum with the help of a friend and manage to get it up and running. I never thought "php" could be so much fun especially when installing the hacks which enhances the board feature. Well, it's not hard and even a non-IT person could do as long as he/she spend some time understanding it. If you want to support me and the forums, please visit the site and register while posting a few topics as this would certainly help :) Thanks a lot folks!

2 years anniversary

Time flies really fast and my blog site has been in existance for 2 years but I missed the anniversary tho' as it's suppose to be last month. Nevertheless, it's pretty much an achievement for someone that doesn't blog a lot like me. Particularly, I don't enjoy sharing every bit of my life publicly and I tend to keep things to myself, loved ones or my circle of friends.

A lot has changed for the past 2 years and one thing for sure is that I am very much older and gained plenty of weight. I'm fat (sulks!!). Life is no doubt challenging and I hope I would be able to overcome the challenges ahead, be successful and to complete the milestones I have set for myself which at this moment of time, 1% accomplishment - lol

Am I failing? Hopefully not :)

The police (again)

I went home later than usual last night and I was pulled over by a police car. Immediately after I stopped, I took out my IC and driving license then wind down the window before he walks over. I was being very co-operative because I was terribly sleepy so it's best to save up time if I could.

The first question he asked was whether I know why I was stopped. I told him I've got no idea but basically I thought it must be my car plate number again. He then told me I had an illegal U-turn and there were even barriers and a sign board there. I challenged him back by saying the barriers were no longer there but he said it was there and some people might have knocked them down so they could do the U-turn illegally. I said "OK, that's fine" so he proceeded back to his patrol car.

I was like what the heck and I might get another ticket for this but I don't really care. About 10 seconds later, he walked back to me again and asked me to open my car boot. I stay put at the driver's seat after opening the boot but he told me I should get down and open it as that is the procedure and it's my car. It's a good thing in my opinion because at least I could make sure he didn't throw something inside to frame me up (if he ever has that in mind).

After that, I got back into the car and I heard him radio to the station with my IC number. I guess he must be trying to check if I have a criminal record (sucks!). He then came over after a short while and returned my IC and license and to my surprise, he didn't gave me a ticket or even ask for anything. I'm really amazed by that so I apologized for the illegal U-turn and left.

Well, I guess the Royal Malaysian Police had certainly change a little ;)

Impressive Honda

How do you like this car? A DOHC 2.4 litre Honda Accord I-VTEC with 5 speed automatic transmission. Impressive ain't it? :) I still think the 3 series looks a little better.

Screwed up Putra LRT

I traveled with Putra LRT yesterday evening and the ride was horrifying. There were service disruption and it delayed me by at least 20 mins. The train waits around 5-7 mins on every station it stops. Not only that, it was hot and stuffy inside with almost ZERO air cond.

Some stupid government officials claim we have a good public transportation system and it's time to impose levies for vehicles entering the city during peak hours. My question is, how the heck do they expect people to travel via these stupid train systems when it breaks down so often and don't even have a proper air-cond system? The fares aren't cheap if you compare to Singapore's MRT (dollar to dollar) and this shows why Malaysia is a continuous failure. From service to reliability, everything fails!

The government only knows how to make ridiculous ideas and comments without putting more efforts on how we can improve the public transportation. Action speaks louder than words so make the change and let the public have more faith rather than just plain crap talking. Nevertheless, welcome to Malaysia!!!

Streamyx screws up again!

I really don't know what's wrong with Malaysian ISP and broadband. It really sucks and I've been experiencing bloody slow Streamyx connection for the past few days. Why does this always have to happen. Year 2007 and all these crap still occurs every now and then. On the other hand, we don't have much choices as TMnet in a way monopolizes broadband services in the country. When I was in US, the crap hotel's broadband line is much faster than our top class broadband Streamyx connection. Welcome to Malaysia!

Joke: The Mat Salleh that misunderstood

One day, (maybe one of the Visit Malaysia 2007 days) one Mat Salleh arrived in KLIA airport and after he checked out from the Customs, he felt that he wanted to go to the toilet. When he reached the toilet, there was a lady (pretty good actually) sitting in front of it.

As he was about to enter the toilet, the lady stopped him and said fourty cents in Cantonese "Sei Kok!". The Mat Salleh just wonder why in Malaysia, they have to "see the cock" (actually fourty cent in Cantonese) before entering the toilet. So he replied "No!" but the lady insisted.

Since he's got no choice, he took out his cock and showed it to her. The lady said "ooh..no, no,no..! DUIT! DUIT!!" (money in Malay) but the Mat Salleh misunderstood again because he thought she said "DO IT!, DO IT!". So, he asked "NOW..?, HERE..?". The lady then replied "YES..,YES..!" because she doesn't really understand English.

The Mat Salleh thought she agreed to have sex with him, so he strip up the lady and made love to her, but the lady was screaming and said "aa...SAKIT!, SAKIT!!" (pain in Malay) and again he thought is "SUCK IT..!, SUCK IT..", so he said "OK, I will suck it for you". He then took her breast and sucked it hard. The lady again screamed "Ohh..TUHAN!" (Oh, My God! in Malay). The Mat Salleh misunderstood again. "Huh?? TOO HARD??, ok sweet heart, I'll be gentle." the Mat Salleh replied.

Suddenly the Security Officer walked by, and the lady was asking for help, "TOLONG!, TOLONGGG!! ENCIKK!. (Help..! Help.. Encik in Malay). But on the other hand, the Mat Salleh replied "Ohh, not too long and it's just 6 inches or so"

Proton scrap metal

I wanted to sell my car but the offered price is simply ridiculous. Proton is just a piece of crap and it's almost worthless. I wonder why our national car maker is such a total failure and still a failure after 20 years in the business. Even the Koreans are doing better and at least they've penetrated into the US market.

On the other hand, I can't get the car that I want and it sucks. I haven't got myself a property as well. Nothing is going on the right direction. Life is pathetic.

Irritated

Lately I'm moody and easily irritated. Even small little things might get me pissed. I know it's not good but doesn't matter, sometimes we just can't help it. Do you know what life is for? It's an opportunity for us to do good so that we get more merits and quit from the cycle of birth and death. It takes many lifetimes and should be our ultimate aim to be borned in the "Pure Land". I'm devoted to Buddhism and that would obviously be my guidance in life. Even I'm pissed and down now, I will stay strong (as I always do).

I received a forwarded email showing a policemen on a patrol car talking on the phone without a hands free. Well, this is Malaysia isn't it? :)

Over the weekends

I finally caught a movie on Saturday night. We watched "The Reaping" and it was pretty good but a little scary (for the girls). My RM11 was well spent on this movie - no regrets. On Sunday, I went for "Qing Ming" and for those who doesn't understand what it is, "Qing Ming" is a day to remember and honour our ancestors. This day is also known as "Tomb Sweeping Day" and originated from the Tang Dynasty. The Chinese culture is rich and has been there for thousands of years. I'm certainly proud to be a Chinese :)

What failed me during the weekends? Well, I bought myself some lotteries but didn't strike. I swapped my absorbers and now I have to do balancing. I also lost the chance to get the car which I've wanted. It looks like nothing much is going towards my way. Sometimes life is just so screwed up, ain't it? Perhaps it's made to be this way, I don't know. Anyway, it's a boring and hot Monday. Have a good one folks - don't be like me :p

Don't think about it

Sometimes you tend to make stupid mistakes. If only you're sane at that point of time, you won't be losing out. Since it has passed, you can only choose not to think about it to make you feel better. It was really stupid and if only I was sane!

I'm still obsessed with my online game lately. It's boring for most people because it's strategy and turn based, not even graphical but I find it interesting. That's the only hobby I have apart from sleeping. On the other hand, I'm still hoping hard that I'll be filthy rich someday. When would it ever come?

I hate trainings (sometimes)

I was supposed to attend a "bored to death" training this morning but I skipped it due to some work related issues. Well, I'll get questioned again surely and I'll have to give reasons. Working is sometimes so difficult particularly if you have pain in the ass users. Some of these dumb fools just don't understand and they tend to make things hard for you.

The W800i is known for it's problem with the joystick so if you're having the same problem, go fix it at the authorized centre for RM50. I just happen to call and I'll be fixing it over the weekends (hopefully).

Attitude problem individuals

It rained heavily last night and I had a super good sleep. Eventhough it's a Monday, I feel fresh and energetic :) My morning mood was spoiled by some so called "heroic" individuals which thinks they are very process compliant. There are individuals within the society and organization which likes to make things difficult. Their "so-called" process compliance is just making things complicated and wasting time. Instead of being productive and efficient, they just don't want to complete the task immediately but going around the bush. I call it "attitude problem" :)

I just wonder when the people in our country and society would ever improve and when would we get a better government.

A rainy Thursday

As expected, it rained again this evening. Pretty heavy I'd say and I hope it'll stop soon or else I'll be going through heavy traffic later. The majority of the Malaysian drivers aren't able to drive properly whenever it rains. They have some sort of brain lag whenever they see rain I guess and it probably affects their thinking power on how to drive correctly. I don't understand why and what's so different and difficult when it rains? If you're a slow driver, just move to the left lane and stop hogging the road. We need some awareness campaign because people here don't even drive according to lanes.

I'm so full and sleepy as I had KFC for lunch (colleague's baby full moon lunch package) lol.

Continous change in life

I had "wantan" duck noodles for breakfast this morning and I haven't been taking my favourite pork noodles for a while. Sometimes you just need a change of things in life and this includes changes of jobs, careers, cars, houses, etc. Some of you might not agree with me but my way of seeing it is that having the same old stuff for too long is just plain boredom. Ok, don't get me wrong as some things are NOT meant to be changed. This includes your family, wife, kids, etc. I'm not trying to instill bad and negative values here.

I continously think on how I could make more money and get rich. While most of us are contented with what we have, a general 5% of the world's population aren't. This is how the millionaires and billionaires come about. You need to have a higher set of expectations and goals. When you have it and you work hard for it, that is how you'll get what you want. If you always tell yourself you're happy and contented with a Proton, you'll never work towards a BMW. My 2 penny thoughts ;)

Back from a long silence

I logon today into my dashboard and found out that my blog has to be upgraded. It says that I'll have to use my gmail account to sign in the next time. Ah, it's been so long since I last blogged and yeah, I'm finally back (again).

Boredom inspires me to blog it seems. Besides, long silence would make me have more stuffs to blog and crap about. Life has been as usual and I did have a good time during the Chinese New Year because I'm off from work even I get paged by office sometimes. Imagine how awful it is whenever your phone rings and your office is calling :)

I intend to get my scrap metal changed some time this year if possible. I have been with it for 3 years plus now and am looking forward to some Japanese make. I would be getting a "Power of Dreams" *hopefully* since I can't afford an "Ultimate Driving Machine" as yet. The model however, is still uncertained.

I'd probably pay RM77K for a used 7th generation like this one :)

Why?

I'm a Malaysian and I'm born here. I'd like to feel proud of my country (I wish I could) but unfortunately, nothing is motivating me to do so. I don't understand what have my ancestors done that the country has to treat the people of my race so unfairly.

Malaysia might be a good place to live but yet, there are plenty of areas which needs improvement. It's good to have a national dream like vision 2020 but do you think it'll ever work? Crime rates is on the rise and everyday, we read about murders, rapes, snatch thieves, burglary, robberies. What are the efforts by the government to curb all these and what is done to reduce it? The police gets low wages, poverty is everywhere, government claims they don't have much money, toll plazas are everywhere and put on most of the newly built roads but politicians could live in houses which could match rich multi-million businessmen. Why?

In this country, there isn't freedom of speech either and with laws like ISA, they could jail us up indefinitely without trial. We cannot appraise or comment what the prime minister does even if we feel he's not good enough. We're not allowed to speak our hearts out eventhough our opinions are meant to improve things.

I see many differences in first world countries. I'm amazed on their fair judicial system, education, health care - just to name a few. An American citizen of any race could run for precidency and hold important positions in the US government. The Secretary of State (Condolezza Rice) is an example and Obama which is also an African American is trying to run for precidency. All these don't happen in my country.

It's sad everytime I think of it but unfortunately, nothing can be done to make the situation better. I'm also very suprised that an MP could shout in the parliament asking us to leave the country if we don't like it here. Think about it.
