Use "Snooze"

I was having a comfortable time sleeping and the alarm sounded off. I hate it and I wish I could sleep a little longer. I'm sure you know what I mean and so I turned the alarm off and thought of rolling on my bed a little while more. Without knowing, I fell asleep again and when I woke up, it was already 7.33AM. I was like "@$%" and so I started getting a little panicked, running to the toilet and doing all the necessary stuffs and get myself prepared. Thankfully my body alarm "rang" me up or else I wouldn't even know what time I'll be waking up. It was a good morning "exercise" tho' and I reached the station 10 minutes late than usual.

The moral of the story: Don't de-activate your alarm unnecessarily. There's something called "snooze" so make good use of it.

Saturday - movie night

Saturday was a movie day and we went to Times Square. GSC had pretty good business, waited like a donkey and found out all tickets were sold out. I didn't make reservations or bookings and was late so yes, it's my fault.

We then went over to KLCC TGV to try our luck. Business wasn't that good there and we wanted to watch:

X Men 3

but instead ended up watching:

Naked Avengers

It's ok anyway, still get to watch a movie after all :)

LRT is screwed

It was raining last Friday evening and the LRT system broke down. Apparently the "traffic lights" failed and it causes a massive delay. I was at the "Maluri" station when the breakdown happened. It took me more than 30 minutes to reach the "Ampang" station. I don't understand why they stopped and waited at each and every station, moving at a speed of 10 km/h when there are no trains upfront. I was disappointed again that the train system screwed up.

I made someone waited (again) and I'm sorry for that. I rushed to KLCC as soon as I reach the station. We had a good meal at Chakri Palace, 20% discounts for HSBC card holders.

I hate getting sick

I'm having a bad sore throat, voice changed a little and even flu now but thankfully no fever. I feel tired and I'm trying to talk lesser plus drink more water. I'm avoiding drugs but I still continue taking my B's every morning. What a life but it's Friday today so must be a little happier. Do I sound like a robot now? Haha

Malaysia BOLEH train system

This morning I reached the LRT at 8AM, boarded the train and it started moving at about 8:05AM. The crowd was huge and the train was packed like a "sardine can" the moment it reaches the 3rd station. I observe that every time the door opens, people would rush in and people from inside the train had a hard time getting out.

When it was about to reach the "Chan Sow Lin" station, the train stopped and waited probably 45 seconds to a minute. I do not know what causes the stop but I believe it shouldn't have stopped. It's just stupid to have the train stopping in the middle of the track when everyone is so packed inside. Anyway, this is not the first time :)

The train finally reached the "Chan Sow Lin" so-called interchange station and I needed to board for a train heading towards "Sri Petaling" direction. Again, the train system is screwed up as the train that was waiting in the station is heading towards "Ampang". Why would people from "Ampang" transit in "Chan Sow Lin" and take another train back to "Ampang"?! Doesn't make sense isn't it? They should've synchronized for the train to "Sri Petaling" to be waiting there instead. Well fine, I have to wait another 2-3 minutes before the next train arrives.

Finally I boarded the right train and reached the "Bukit Jalil" station at about 8:33AM. When the door opens, everyone rushes out. I believe if you're walking slowly on the stairs, you should give way for those that would walk faster and needs to rush for time. There's a purpose on why people have left and right lanes. Unfortunately, we have Malaysians that never thought of all these. They drive and hog on the roads while walking and hog the stairs.

I thought I was going to reach office on time but my buddy that is driving today was late because of a faulty traffic light at his place. Malaysia really BOLEH!

Hotmail : LiveMail

I logged onto my Hotmail and became a beta tester for Windows LiveMail. It makes my Hotmail look like Outlook and makes reading easier. However, the speed is rather slow so I'd still prefer Gmail.

I also added a new song by Justin (don't know the song name) but thanks to Nicole Chan :)

MC today

My sore throat became a bit worse and my voice changed. No cold drinks or chilli food until my throat gets well *sobs* Fever has subsided but I feel dizzy and drowsy as I woke up from bed. I hate this feeling! I surfed for my horoscope reading today and got this:

You might find that you are being a little bossy today, especially with your family members. However you could quite easily prevent yourself from being caught up in these minor tensions if you just listen to your friends and family, because you have the capacity to be both understanding and compassionate.

It doesn't make sense at all ain't it? :)

Feverish

I woke up in the wee hours of the evening and I feel feverish. In fact, I started feeling feverish since last night. I did not take any pills because I normally don't and I also have sore throat. I hate getting sick and the feeling is terrible. If it gets worse then I'll be going to the doctor and asking for an MC tomorrow. Anyone nice enough to make porridge or soup for me? :)

The weather is superbly hot and staying in my room without the air cond on is like being in a microwave oven. Why is Malaysian weather so hot?! Despite it's hot, I'm not even perspiring so something is wrong. I need a thermometer reading *lol*

Before lunch-teatime meal

I woke up real late today and don't ask me what time because it's just late, haha. When I got back yesterday night, I noticed one of the bulbs on my car's rear brake lights were no longer lighting up so I'll probably get it replaced after I have my "lunch-teatime" meal :)

Yesterday I also happen to see a Chinese newspaper cutting dated back on May 13th and I was in one of the photos for Wesak day procession. Unfortunately I do not have a copy to insert it here. No further plans for the day and it's time for me to go and eat.

Another week

It's quick isn't it? Another Friday and salary day is also coming soon $$$ *lol* This week has been ok if not terrible. I know I'm always complaining but I just have to admit that this is how I feel, hehe. Until the day when more interesting things comes into my life, I guess it'll be so.

Work is boring sometimes especially if you work with a colleague that knows how to exaggerate things, telling how busy and hard things is but with 30% productivity. Its ok as I know such people are everywhere, even in my previous jobs. I call them "slackers" :)

I have no where to go this weekend but hopefully I'll get someone to watch movies or go to the malls with me.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day. We celebrated by going out for dinner with grandma (although the restuarant's food ain't good). I hope she enjoyed it :) It's late Sunday evening now and I'm here in front of my laptop doing nothing, waiting for the clock to tick. I guess I'll probably go out and see some human or friends.

Wesak Day : Part 2

We reached Brickfields at around 6 plus and started walking towards the temple, looking for our float. Got the wrong direction at first but manage to find it afterwards.

If you notice, there were plenty of FRU's standing by (just in case - i guess) :)

On the way into the temple

I took photos of the floats

Happy Wesak Day

I just came back an hour ago, took shower and started to laze around, going online and stuffs. I'll be helping out in the centre tomorrow and the will hold the flag during the procession. Yuppie, this is my first time with the flag and I'll be walking side by side with the float, probably in front :)

To those of you that are Buddhist, please take Wesak Day as a good time for you to be a vegetarian. If you're not a regular vegetarian, try to be one today as it's only once a year and a good time to start cultivating being one someday. I would also like to wish Buddha a Happy Birthday and to my Master.

Hmm, I'm super sleepy, running low on battery so I'll have to recharge now. Happy Wesak Day everyone! :)

No MSN again

I can't connect to MSN this morning. It is most likely an issue with my MSN protocol or perhaps they blocked it again. People have been asking why am I "offline' and still able to send messages. The answer to it is that I don't even know, haha. I guess the MSN protocol for my Miranda client is just screwed up. I'm still waiting for a new version to be uploaded which fixes the problem.

It's lunch time soon and I'm terribly hungry :( The reason was that I skipped dinner and went to bed early yesterday. I just had a couple of biscuits with a cup of coffee/tea this morning. I'm starving :(

Nevertheless, it's half a day at work and the last working day of the week *happy* :p

Need sleep ...

My energy level is low and this is due to lack of sleep. I haven't been getting enough of sleep but I'll make sure I get home early and "hibernate" all the way from 9PM to 7AM tomorrow morning.

Wesak day is just around the corner and I'll be off on the following Monday as well. Happy holidays to me and everyone else. Thank you for the support, haha.

**#!&$@

It's good to be optimistic and confident but sometimes things are so sick and pathetic that it doesn't make anymore difference whether to be or not. Life is full of "shit" and yes, it is filled with it. You're being nice and people doesn't appreciate it, thinks you're weird and a piece of "shit". You work hard but not getting rewarded fairly, work for your whole life and not even rich which is just like a piece of "shit".

You see, "shit" happens everywhere and not only we let it out every morning, it's just something in life. There are morons all over and some people could make your life even more miserable and add up the "shit" feeling. I don't choose to be born and lead a "shit" life and I've always wanted a better life but everything I did doesn't seem to make a big difference.

When we are young, we studied like "shit" for the paper qualification. When we started working, we worked like "shit" for the money because without it, we can't survive. When we are old, we feel like "shit" because there's nothing much we could do especially when we can't even see and walk properly.

Sorry, I know I'm being stupid by writing all these but I really feel like "shit" today. Maybe I'm really a piece of "shit" that doesn't deserve better things.

The "Murano"

I've never liked a 4 wheel SUV until I finally sat on one yesterday. I was at my friend's car accessories shop when I sat on the passenger side for the Nissan Murano as he drives around. It's big and bulky but terribly comfortable, powered by a 2.5 litre engine. The interior is black and spacious. However if I have 250K, I'll still put the money on a BMW first, haha. Yes, I know I'm obsessed with BMW's but that's a car which I've always wanted.

We then proceeded for dinner together and this time, I got a chance to sit on the Toyota Estima 3.0 - another nice car. It makes me think of when would I ever own one :)

My MSN

For those who wonder why my MSN behaves funnily sometimes, this is because I am using a third party client that integrates different IM protocols together. Here's a screenie on how it looks like:

Journey to my office

I drove to work this morning as buddies wants to go for rowing after work *duh* I was suppose to be "on-time" but there was a minor accident in the entrance to Putrajaya and it resulted in a long heavy jam. Why? It's pretty simple as Malaysian likes to slow down, watch and observe. While most of them are rather "helpful", they should also probably spend some time thinking that slowing down would cause traffic congestion and obstruct other people especially those that wants to get to work on-time (even though I’m 85% late normally) Haha

Amazingly just after that, traffic was smooth except for a number of road hoggers that drives on the fast lane at "moderate" speed. It's a good thing as I get to practice my patience and I'm glad I did not even curse or honk. If you are reading this and have a driving license, please don't be like them and don't hog the road = "TAK NAK - ROAD HOGGING"

Petrol for 57 cents per litre

All over the world, petrol price are increasing as price per barrel shoots up to $75 recently. However, the Saudi kingdom tends to reduce its petrol price to only 0.60 riyals per litre (57cents/litre). Isn't PETRONAS going to do something like that too? :)

Animals

My buddies and I had lunch at a mamak restuarant. The food is below average and the price is above average. Well, we don't have much choice in this place called "Cyberjaya" anyway :) It's a "hi-tech" town as the signboard says but please, I don't think it looks like one anyway, haha.

After the food, we talked about animals. Yes, it sounds weird that a bunch of IT folks are discussing about wild life animals and I told them that I'd like to have a photo with a polar bear if I ever get the chance. That white little bear is simply cute isn't it? Unfortunately they are getting thinner and their population is reducing due to global warming.

On second thoughts, I could probably have a monkey at my backyard. They are just as cool and cute :)

First week of May

I should've learnt piano or finished my organ. At least I could do part time teaching and earn more these days. I like to sing but I have a lousy voice which makes my singing terrible. However, don't blame me for the rain and lightning strikes lately as it's not my fault, haha.

IT job is kinda boring sometimes as all you do is sit in front of the PC throughout the day. Chances of knowing new people are somewhat minimal and you'll probably get eye problems when you're old.

I'm doing the same thing and undergoing the same routine every day and week. It's like a scheduled "crontab" entry and nothing else to look forward to. Let's see, maybe I should change my blog layout. Now I've got something to do :p
