Another day, another dime

It's the end of Monday, another day at work, another dime :p I drove to work today so I'll leave at 5:30PM sharp (if possible). Today is filled with silly activities particularly answering dumb queries posted by users. I don't understand why but they like to be spoon feeded and enjoy stupid questions. Please, get a life *lol*

IT jobs are sometimes dirty work and we're forced to face the monitor most of the time. I wonder what will happen to our eyes when we retire :(

Tesco

Thanks TESCO for opening up a new hypermarket in Ampang but unfortunately it causes massive traffic jam around the area. Perhaps you guys should think about road widening and traffic diversion first.

I went there this evening with my grandma after dinner and there were just too many people and cars. It's just madness :) I have to admit that most of the things there are slightly cheaper and if you buy more, you'll probably save quite a bit. I manage to take a photo of my beloved grandmother while she was shopping.

My weekends

I haven't been writing for some time (I know). It's Sunday and weather is kinda gloomy today which makes it a good time to sleep. There weren't any interesting happenings for the past few days either but the same routine stuffs which is like eating and sleeping and eating and sleeping again, haha.

I read about how I could modify my W800i from the web. I tried and it works :) I now have 30,000+ of sms storage space, I had smaller sized fonts, upgraded my camera software and some audio/display drivers. This is really fun and I'll probably change my phone menus soon.

My specs are really killing me and I don't really like it. I feel dizzy everytime I'm with it and I have no idea how long more it takes for me to get used to it. This sucks big time :(

I can't believe the weekends are almost over now and it'll be Monday (again) tomorrow. I will have to go to office and work again *sobs* Why can't we have more public holidays.

"Cho yat"

Today is the "new moon" for the month of July in the Chinese lunar calendar which also means I'm on vegetarian. For those that does not know, there are two July months this year so we'll be having the "ghost" festival twice. However, people would normally observe the first one only and not both.

Time passes rather quickly and without knowing, it is already the end of July. The great news is, it's salary day today *yippie* but the bad news is, I've gotta wait another 30 days for my next pay cheque :(

This morning I overslept again and woke up at 7.45AM. The root cause on why I overslept is yet to be known. I'd probably do some investigations on it later :p As I was late, I ended up driving myself to work. I'm still a little tired and sleepy now but gladly enough the cup of tea that I made for myself earlier helped me to regain some conciousness and not to fall asleep at work.

I am patiently waiting for the hour to pass as it'll be lunch time soon. The 3 main things I'll normally wait for at work - wait for lunch during the mornings, wait for tea time during the afternoons, wait for 5.30PM during the evening. Ok, I know it isn't something pleasant but please, productivity is not calculated nor formulated by long hours of working.

I know I ain't a workaholic and I'll never be one. This is another reason on why I won't fit working in cities like Tokyo :p I don't know if that'll change or perhaps Japanese girls would have a way on how to inspire me to work harder. Emm, maybe work hard for humans, not for my job, hahaha.

Boring Monday

I'm starting to get used to the spectacles and people have been asking why I'm not wearing it. Well, I need to make sure I could see properly and not feel dizzy with it before I start wearing it around. I'm sure it'll be a good idea because I don't want to end up knocking myself onto walls :p

It's Monday again and here I am doing the dumb routine jobs again. You know what? Working is just so boring sometimes. I wish I could sleep a bit more and I really need those sleep. Perhaps companies should give us lineancy of working at home or coming to work on flexi hours *fat hopes*

Btw, here are some photos of Japanese ice cream. I found it somewhere in the web :)

It's Saturday

I woke up before 11AM today and this is what I really call "early". In fact, I haven't been waking up this early on Saturdays for ages. I was suppose to service my car couple of weeks back but I still haven't done it yet. The synthetic engine oil has been running for near to 9,000 km's now :p

I collected my spectacles today and I look kinda funny + silly with it. Well, please don't laugh as I know how bad I look like with a plastic object around my eyes. I'm still not used to it and I feel dizzy whenever I put it on. No doubt that it gives me better vision but I don't feel comfortable with it :( I guess it'll be a while more before I could finally wear it and go around.

I apologize but the photo has to be fragmentized and pixellized, haha. I look silly *grr*

Lemon Coke

I was browsing around and found a photo of some soft drinks from vending machines in Japan. The Lemon Coke is certainly cool and how I wish I could have it for my collection. Japan not only have cute and cool things but they've got cute and sweet girls too, haha. Well, I'll never get to make it to Japan in the near future anyway but hopefully I could go someday perhaps with my gf or wife.

Nevertheless if someone happens to go Japan or anywhere else, please remember to get me Coke's

Tablets

I stopped being stubborn, swallowed a tablet last night before I sleep and felt much better this morning. I took another tablet for flu (Clarinase) this morning and that helps too :)

I was with my jacket the whole day in office. It's something which I don't really do normally but I have to this time. I'm tired of this ongoing fever and flu thingy so must get it resolved once and for all.

It's weekends again tomorrow and Friday is always a happy day, haha. Well, at least I don't have to think much about work for the next 2 days.

Happy belated birthday - Joey Tan

Joey, I'm so sorry that I missed your birthday but I hereby wish you a Happy Belated Birthday. It's 2 days back but it's bad enough to forget and definitly my fault. If you look at this photo, it's specially for you and look how this little kid finishes off the cake I bought for you. Nevertheless, I'll get you another one on your 50th birthday :)

Don't need antibiotics

I was on MC yesterday due to fever, sore throat and flu. I didn't know I'll get sick so easily but perhaps it was due to the durians :p I was still tempted to eat more durians but I know I can't so ended up buying bananas and consumed about 1KG of them.

Here I am back to work in office today. I feel terrible as I'm not well yet, still having bad flu, sore throat and feel dizzy. Life is like that when you work for people. I still hope that I'll have something on my own someday. At least I don't have to do things which I don't like and listen to bosses's craps.

I'm known as a complainer to some people but it's ok. There's nothing wrong with complaining anyway and we should have freedom of speech. Humans might have different statuses but we're all the same. Anyone that thinks they are indisposable are people that normally gets disposed easily. You, me, all of us are just the same but a matter of what life we lead.

Life is short

Time flies and it's already 15th of July 2006. I still remember what I did during kindergarden years, primary, secondary and college years, not to forget my first few jobs as well. It kinda shows that life is short and yes, we should make the best out of it.

I've been single to close to 9 months soon. It's the longest "single" period of time ever since I have a gf when I was 18 and I never thought I would be "single" at this age, haha. Some things in life are just hard to predict. I wouldn't be suprised if I bump onto this girl I've been hoping to get her number tomorrow either *lol*

My career still ain't picking up, I still can't see where my first one million is going to come from. I know I define "success" a bit differently from others and well, blame myself for that :p

It's half past six and I'll be going out for dinner shortly. Somehow or rather, my brain tells me to eat Durians again, haha. Anyway, I wish everyone a good weekend :)

Durians

I have been having this fever for Durians lately and ate it consecutively for 2 days. On my way back yesterday, I stopped by to buy myself some Durians. The price wasn't cheap but it tastes good though. I'm not sure but maybe I was conned by the Durian seller but anyway, it doesn't matter since I only purchased 1 unit from him :p

Some people say when "yit hei" (in Cantonese) which means "hot steam", they don't feel like eating Durians. AS for me, I don't give a heck and I eat whenever I feel like it. Plus, I don't really know how we define this "yit hei" thingy and it isn't measured by kilograms, Celsius nor Fahrenheit :)

It's another day at work and weekends are coming soon. Pay day however is still more than 10 days away *sweat*

Najib doesn't pay summons

Adopted from "The Star Online" - Wednesday July 12, 2006

Najib: I'll settle traffic fines

PUTRAJAYA: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak says he will settle unpaid traffic summonses issued under his name and called on other ministers with outstanding fines to do so.

Najib was responding to a Malaysiakini article which said he and 24 other ministers had not paid the summonses for several years.

"I know about the article. I know I am at number five. I do not drive, it is others who do and I did not know about it. They also did not tell me. I will settle it" he told reporters yesterday.

According to Malaysiakini, Najib's accumulated summons stood at RM7,820 for 67 fines.

BBQ with colleagues

Last Friday I had a good BBQ session with my colleagues at work. It was fun and we really BBQ-ed a lot, wasted some chicken wings and food because it was burnt and badly roasted.

For once, I wasn't the camera man as there were too many digital cameras around. At least, the quality of the photos from a proper camera with flash would look better than my W800i.

At the end of the session, we played some card games and I ended up drinking quite a bit of Jack Daniels. It doesn't taste that bad after all especially when we get it mixed with Coke. As I've already had a can of Heineken earlier, the JD work its way up to my head pretty quickly but no worries, I handled it perfectly, haha.

Ok, notice the great guy in "green" shirt and that's me :p

End of World Cup 2006

Over the weekends, we witness the end of world cup with the finals played between Italy and France. It was a close game and no one expected the score line to be 1-1 in only 15 mins time which continued until the end of extra time.

Zidane gave a superb header during the extra time and he'll be retiring from international football in style, with a red card :) Both teams played well until the penalties. Trezeguet missed his penalty which caused France the loss while Italy scored all five to win the World Cup 2006.

France might have a better chance if only Henry and Zidane was there for penalties. Both goal keepers did not manage to save any penalties and I still think Ricardo (Portugal) is simply one of the best keepers around.

Nevertheless, it's a good world cup and Italy has now won for 4 times, catching up with Brazil soon. Lets wait another 4 years and see who would be the next world cup winner. The 2010 world cup would be held in South Africa - first ever in the African continent.

The Coke collection

I started collecting Coke when my 2nd ex (Emily) gave me 3 cans of Coke from China. In fact, the Coke's were given to her from someone. We were still young at that time and she told me to collect it together as it would be "our" collection, something we could keep for the rest of our life. Although it didn't end up to be "our" collection after breaking up, I still continue to add in the number of Coke's into the existing collection.

I asked friends and colleagues to get me cans/bottles of Coke whenever they go overseas. To date, I have Coke's from Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Taiwan, Bangladesh, India, UAE, US, UK, Germany, Kenya - just to name a few. I really hope the collection would grow to hundreds of cans/bottles from 51 which I have right now.

If you're reading this, I hope you know what to get me the next time you travel overseas :p It doesn't matter whether it's bottled or canned but as long as you bring back a Coke for me (unconsumed), I'd be really happy.

I don't have a good shelf to put all of them up so I'm making use of my book shelf instead. Latest addition includes the Coke from Germany (World Cup edition) thanks to Hennley :)

Barbeque

There'll be a BBQ session after work today with colleagues. I haven't been to BBQ for ages so hopefully I still know how to BBQ. I know it's a stupid thing to say cos who doesn't know how to BBQ anyway *duh* Emm, shopping yesterday was pretty good but I was kinda sleepy. I'm so tired, vitamin B's can't seem to help much these days.

I'll be off next Monday as I thought of watching the World Cup finals but since it has became a European Cup instead, I'd probably not watch it. There's no fun watching a team like Italy and France play where one team is a bunch of cartoon and the other a group of old folks.

Life is tough, full of challenges especially you need to stay strong and not fall asleep at work. I've been making myself plenty of coffee daily and I'm sure my caffeine level has increased dramatically over the past one month. Nevertheless, it's better than nicotine at least :p

The night

The night is young and nice and there were stars shining up above. It was just after a nice romantic candle light dinner with her. The weather is cooling and the moon smiling at us as it glitters through the night. It would've been a great time to sit side by side with her by the sea side or probably top of the hill that has a city view.

Ideally, that is what I'm suppose to be doing now but realistically, I'm dreaming here in front of my notebook for something that is unlikely to happen. I just feel terrible all of a sudden but its ok, life goes on anyway.

Tomorrow would be another day at work, 9-6 routine job. I wish life would be more meaningful than this or at least there's this someone that'll make me feel that life is indeed great and wonderful. Every time when I thought this person had appeared, she would disappear out of my life in the end. It's not easy but again, life goes on.

Anyway, it's time to sleep as I really need to charge myself up. My brain is telling me that my battery is going flat in no time and I'll probably stumble and sleep on the floor if I continue to stay awake.

The 2006 European Cup

I wasn't able to sleep last night - too used to sleeping late over the weekends so ended up dozing off at around 5AM. I'm now lack of sleep but still look ok. World cup match is on again tonight but I don't intend to watch because it has became a European cup. I still support Germany because if Germany wins the world cup, my friend and I will be RM325 richer.

Malaysians are sometimes weird. In the last world cup, I didn't see that many German supporters around but for no apparent reason, everyone seemed to become a German fan this time :) Is it just because Germany is the host nation and since Malaysia did not qualify for the world cup so all these mamak kaki and football fans turned to support Germany? If the World cup is to be held in Argentina the next round, I guess everyone would be supporting Argentina instead. Well come on and get a life, have some attitude! If you've been supporting Germany all these while then it's fine - just show some character and don't support just because their the host nation and favourites now to win.

Anyway, here's a photo of a clown (Frings) that'll be suspended for doing something silly.

The day Brazil left Germany

I woke up on Sunday evening after watching the full match between Brazil and France. I felt bad and terrible that Brazil lost :( I never imagine they would go out in the quarter finals especially to a team like France *WTF*. Now, I've got no mood to watch the rest of the World Cup as it has became a European Cup instead. It's pointless and it's fake! Every 4 years the bookies would make great money.

I wanted to play snooker today but no one was there to play with me. I end up doing stupid things instead. I wonder why on earth is life so BORED!!! Ok, I'm starting to complain about things again, haha. Hmm, I really wish things would be better and I'm still hoping. It's alright, life goes on anyway and here I am at 2:33AM in the morning, still staying awake.

I'm not working tomorrow so I could wake up a little late, perhaps in the afternoon. My rear power window which I broke the other day is still not fixed and it's also time to service my car but I'm lazy. You see, I have no mood for almost everything and that's a big problem. I began to feel that everything is no longer interesting and things are meaningless. Someone please save me?!
