What's so cool about DotA?

What's so interesting about DotA? Well, you get to control a hero yourself, mix and match different items and see how it affects your hero, try not to get killed by running around like a mad monkey, beserking towards the enemy and crush the opponent's base :) It's pretty fun, time consuming and addictive. Since I don't get date appointments everyday, this is the alternative to keep myself occupied.

How's my day? Well, I feel feverish today but I hope I won't go sick. The feeling of being in fever is terrible, I don't want to get fever. Perhaps I need more sleep :(

Pizza Hut nightmare

It was a rainy, cooling and gloomy Sunday. Some roads near my place were flooded thanks to the municipal council (MPAJ) for doing such a "great" job by not cleaning up the drains.

I had the idea of ordering pizza for dinner and grandma agreed to it. I rang up "Pizza Hut" at 8:30PM and made an order for a vegetarian pizza. The girl on the phone told me that they are having a busy time and I'll be getting it in 45 mins. As usual, I'll say "Ok, sure".

At 9:10PM, my pizza is still not here. I thought the pizza is still in the sauna, not coming out yet but moments after, the delivery guy called up saying he's coming over now so I said "Ok, sure". 10 mins later, he called again and this time he told me that his bike ran out of fuel. It's the first time I heard such an excuse or perhaps reason :) He told me his friend is coming over and the pizza will be delivered shortly. As I don't have a choice, I said "Ok, sure".

9:30PM, the beloved "vegetarian" pizza finally arrived all the way from Ampang Point Pizza Hut (I thought it came all the way from USJ or something). As I went to collect it from my gate, the delivery boy opened up and says "pepperoni pizza". I was like "WTF", since when did I order a pepperoni?! A look on the receipt also showed its a pepperoni so it looks like the call centre made a mistake. Again, I don't have a choice and I said "Ok, sure".

I scooped and removed all those slices of beef toppings and handed it over to my maid. She did enjoy the pizza (best dinner since Hari Raya) while grandma and I ended up with tomato and cheese pizza (without toppings) plus cheese sticks. What a dinner and thanks to "Pizza Hut" - you're certainly making things "great" as the slogan says. I guess I have more reasons to call Domino's the next time.

Warcraft III

I messed up my sleeping hours again and this time it's due to computer games. I've been playing WC3:DotA. It's an old game, everyone's been playing but I just started. A little outdated but doesn't matter cos it occupies me. After all, it's not as tiring as snooker cos I don't have to aim and shoot. Mouse clicking skills is what required most to play.

It's a gloomy Sunday afternoon, been raining a lot. No hot sun and cooling so not a bad thing after all. I just hope it doesn't rain tomorrow evening after work or I'll probably be stucked badly in traffic jams (which is what I dislike)

Adidas is coming

There's this new Adidas "running" shoe which is real cool. I've seen it in white and grey which carries a price tag of RM389.90 (if I remember correctly). Of course, it's easily affordable for the person that agreed to get this shoe for me as a Christmas gift. I finally get to meet Santarina, haha. Oh umm, I hope I don't have to hang that socks outside my window cos I can self collect my shoe (I really don't mind). My size would be "8 1/2" please :) It'll be my first ever Adidas after sticking to Nike all these while.

Continuous Coffee

It seems like a good holiday for everyone but I have to logon from home time to time and solve work related issues during the past few days. It spoils the holiday mood but I still manage to go out and relax myself.

I had less than 5 hours of sleep so I'm tired today. I consumed a few cups of coffee to stay awake as caffeine always works on me. I now find more reasons why I should go Starbucks coffee *yay*

It's raining again in the evening and makes the weather more cooling. I'm glad there won't be terrible jams today (as yet). There aren't many days in a year where KL roads are this quiet so it makes driving less stressful.

Please Understand

Sometimes it's hard to get people to understand things. I get super annoyed when I'm repeatedly answering the same question or I'm made to ask the same question over and over again but not being answered. I don't enjoy when people assume things about me but I don't mind them asking. I'm someone that prefers to talk over things in a nice manner, to discuss and share facts but again, there are individuals that find this approach very difficult to accept. To them, every disagreement equals to argument.

We're living in 2006 and with the advancement of human civillization over time, I believe we should really learn how to become better humans. We should be able to talk nicely over things and not re-acting like a cow. I have no problems accepting other people's opinions and of course, people should not control my life as well. I have to admit that special privilledges are given to my gf and I would listen to her more than anyone else.

The bottom line is, let's not be difficult and talk over any issues in a nice manner. It'll be better to resolve issues and problems with such approaches. I truly do not want to offend anyone so I rather keep quiet sometimes. By adhering to what I've just said, I hope I'll be a father that wouldn't cane my kids too *lol*

Smooth traffic today

The traffic was super smooth today, not many cars around. However, I bump onto a national class road hogger that drives at 80 km/h on MRR2 with no cars in front. I overtook him and found out that he's a Malay. As I've mentioned before, accidents are caused not always because of speed but due to people that doesn't know how to drive correctly and understand what "fast lanes" are for. It's also hard to make these "type" of people to understand and learn because they are morons.

It took me 40 mins from home to office and I haven't been seeing my speedo doing 160 km/h for a long time :) I'm glad it did this morning and my intention was to try out of if my speedo is still working after 150 km/h *lol* Ok, tested fine and I'll drive at my normal speed back home.
Office is almost empty too, not many people at work today (mostly on leave).

I'm badly forgotten

Everyone of us will change particularly when we're growing up. I believe that during our 18-21 years, that is when all of us would change mostly with influences from friends. It's alright if we were to change to a better person but what's disappointing is changing to something bad and not knowing it for the rest of our lives.

She was a very nice, lovely and caring person. She doesn't mind about my financial status, whether I'm rich or poor. She was always there by my side and supported me so much. I never thought she would change to someone so different and to tell me she is now a "grown up" as if that everything which has happened before was just a dream.

It might be a dream for her or perhaps something that has never happened before. To me, it's so hard to forget when she's the first ever person in my life that showed me so many things. From someone that loved me so much to someone that doesn't even take me as a friend today. I feel so sorry for myself that I still remember this sad piece of "story" and for remembering someone that I love so truly before that doesn't even care about me anymore.

Happy Deepavali 2006

Trust me when I say there are plenty of pretty girls on planet earth and even in the city itself. Unfortunately, I don't know many of them and don't ask me why :) Happy Deepavali to everyone and enjoy the holidays with heavy traffic everywhere. Please tell your loved ones to drive carefully and don't HOG the road - it's important because we wouldn't want to make the traffic worse.

The new Toyota Camry is superb and for 139K (entry model), you get a Japanese made 5-series look-alike which is fully imported (CBU unit). It's a good buy but I can't afford it.

Holiday season again

Interestingly enough, I've been getting plenty of sms-es from RUUMS, KL. A check from the net shows that it's a bar/club located in Life Centre (previously Warp disco?) I've never been there before and no idea if it's a fun place but it looks cool on the website. Shall I go or shall I not? *lol*

I bought myself a new bottle of B's supplement as the previous one is finishing up soon. I feel tired easily especially during the night, after a long day. Well, these are indeed signs of old age or probably I'm not getting enough nutrition and food? Err, it can't be because I've been eating like an elephant. I hope this new stuff helps as it not only contains B complex but it's got Vitamin C and Zinc. Also stated on the box, it's recommended for adults (U.S.)

Most of us would be having a good time next week as there'll be long holidays and time for vacation. Poor IT workers like me would have to go office on Monday and the whole week as there'll be no one else around to cover. It doesn't mean I'm important but it means I'm just a piece of crap and besides, company is stingy enough and doesn't hire new headcounts. I have all my holiday plans ruined and it's lovely, ain't it? *sigh*

Use your brain

I hate it especially when people stand behind me when I'm working or doing something in front of my notebook. It's an intrusion to my privacy and I just dislike it. However, certain people just don't understand and think it's alright. Come on, use the brain and think.

We just have to thank Indonesia for the haze as they've been giving it to us for FREE every single year. It has been raining but it's still around. Let's see how long it'll last this time.

Shangri-La, Putrajaya

We had "Buka Puasa" buffet dinner at the Shangri-La Putrajaya yesterday evening. It's part of the yearly get-together organized by the managers in my group. I was reluctant to go but considering the fact that I do not have a last minute excuse which is good enough, I had no choice. I was being stupid and should make up stories like I need to fetch my gf working in KLCC or something.

The food was normal, not many varieties but I ate a lot. I whacked almost everything except for beef and I was terribly full in the end. You see, that's one reason why big eaters like me shouldn't go for buffets. My BMI tells me I'm ok and on average but I don't want to be fat :( I need to control my diet and I must not eat so much.

I took the LRT home from Bukit Jalil to Ampang. I was full, tired, sleepy and almost went to bed when I'm standing inside the train. Upon reaching, I got myself into a cab and the driver is a Malay. We chatted along the way and when I got down, the meter showed RM3.30. I gave RM5 telling him to keep the extras and he was very happy and glad. I know how hard it is for cab drivers as they need to drive the whole day and don't earn a lot. I wished him "Selamat Hari Raya", headed home, shower then to bed.

It was another "exciting" day :)

Melbourne Shuffle

Melbourne shuffle is a type of dance and has been very popular over the years. As the name says, it originated from Melbourne, Australia. It's real cool and looks like we could see people doing it in most of the clubs around KL today. My friends knows how to do it, strangers knows how to do it but not me :) Ok, I'm not a shuffler if you want me to put it. Perhaps I'm old and I have stiff legs and body, I can't twist it that well like them *lol*

I'm putting down a video for those that doesn't know what shuffle is all about. Picture speaks a million words and a video would tell you millions :p You could see it for yourself and please mute the background music on this page to get a better feel of it as we don't do shuffle with sentimental Chinese music, haha.

A retired computer addict

I remembered when I was young, I loved playing computer games so much. I'll go computer shops weekly and browse through every game titles available and buy some once in a while. I was a poor kid, didn't have a lot of money to buy every game I want. Although I never finish most of my games, I enjoyed them a lot.

I haven't been gaming for a while, especially after I sold my heavily "overclocked" desktop machine some time ago. Those days, I was a super duper computer freak that would shop for hardware every month and I'll frequent Low Yat Plaza every week.

The excitement of overclocking is simply fun and great. The objective is to push the hardware up to its limit. One of my biggest record was overclocking a 1.43Ghz AMD AthlonXP T-bred all the way up to 2.5Ghz with water cooling. I soldered extra resistors and wires on my motherboard and even video cards. Life is sometimes unlucky and yes, I've burnt a number of hardwares before but that's when the RMA comes into picture (my savior) :)

When my interest for PC finally ended, that was when cyber cafe networking games started to get popular. I never learnt how to play "Counter Strike", a poor "Starcraft" player and all I know is probably "Command & Conquer". As I was having lunch today, people were talking about "Dota". I know it's been here for a while but it does sounds interesting. Perhaps I should just try it out and start getting addicted to games again.

Monday morning

I came to office at the usual time, had breakfast and made myself a cup of tea. There wasn't a lot of "shit" to clean up but still have to spend time doing other stuffs. I feel cold so I grabbed my jacket, made myself a cup of thick coffee. Well, I'm a coffee/tea fan and these has been my beverage after I gave up soft drinks due to old age.

Peter told me I would be given a shot at something senior. I hope that'll happen sometime soon. He's an Irish, nice guy, friendly too. We'll see how things go in the weeks to come *fingers crossed*

I haven't been "puffing" for a long time and looks like my "Tak Nak" plan worked. I shall continue not to touch them and avoid even for casuals. I wouldn't want the habit to come back, it's not good and emm, girls don't like it most of the time either *lol* That gives me additional inspiration to stop (kidding). Actually, it's all in my mind and heart.

I would also like to wish Happy Birthday to all my Libran friends. May you all have the best in all your future undertakings.

I need sponsors

My weekends was just as usual. I manage to get a replacement for my missing rim cap for RM25 and spent the rest of the Sunday playing snooker. I'm darn tired after so many games and could hardly move :( I need a snooker cue badly because I sold my previous one. Can anyone sponsor me some cash so that I could get it? Please email or drop me a message if you're willing to do so.

It's my turn to drive tomorrow, stuck in the jam, face the road hoggers and probably cursing, lol. I need rest, badly. Please give me a break!

Malaysia, no more like before?

There are so many things going on in the country and it has changed tremendously if you compare 10 years ago and now. Malaysia was a much safer place before and Dr. M is a man with vision. Today, the government does not make good decisions and doesn't have a good direction on how to develop the country further. There are no continuity on the projects and planned development left by Dr. M but instead, new directions were set. Does that mean every Prime Minister of this country will administrate and lead his own way and does not support continuity? It is very suprising that even a person that has done so much for the country (Dr. M) was not appreciated but treated like a piece of trash today. It's just sad.

The government defended the 18.9% bumiputra equity when we see so many rich bumiputras especially in KL. No worries, I am not questioning the genuinity of the data because it doesn't mean anything nor make a difference. If this is the way they want to run the country, so be it :) The country is already becoming from bad to worse and if the current strategies are continued, I am pretty sure it does more harm than good for the nation. One thing for sure, they never think about "us" and how "we" feel. It's again, sad.

Btw, I'm not a politician but am just expressing my views as a Malaysian (if I'm considered as one)

Thank you, miss Tan

Speed limit has been reduced to 80km/h from 90km/h during the festive season until Jan 15th. The duration for this reduction is quite long and it'll be a pain because such move encourages people to hog the road even more. The real joke is, I don't see how 10km/h would make a big difference to road safety if the people that drives doesn't change their mentality.

I was introduced to a cool place for dinner last night by Miss Tan and I really had to thank her. Although my bowl of noodles doesn't look appetizing and doesn't taste good, I'm sure the other stalls would have better stuff to eat. I shall visit the place again for something else :)

I'm back at work

I'm back to work and am glad the first working day of this week started on a Wednesday *lol*. I haven't been taking my B's supplement for the past 5 days :( I'm either forgetful or have been waking up late.

I read in the papers today about a police patrol car that knocked down an innocent senior citizen. The incident occured at about 6:20AM and the policeman that drove the car says it was dark and he couldn't see clearly. It's terrifying when such stupid excuses were made by the police. We do understand that this is an accident but isn't a patrol car suppose to move at an reasonable speed and the police officer should have full attention on what's happening? In this scenario, he can't even see whats in front of his windscreen?

We see plenty of rich politicians but when the police is asking for a salary increase, the government comes out with excuses. I believe giving them more money will make them less sleepy in the mornings and make sure they won't knock or shoot the wrong person down in future.

Alert : Thieves are everywhere

I went to fix my car today and at the same time notice that my sports rim cap was missing (stolen). It's disappointing that someone would steal a rim cap which is worth less than RM20 but come to think of it, this is Malaysia. This is a country that isn't safe at all as there's daylight robbery, snatch thieves, murderers and even rapists everywhere. People would steal anything, anytime, anywhere and you wouldn't know when would your things be stolen or when these group of people would cause harm to you. Does the government care? Well, maybe :)

Halfway through fixing my car, there was a heavy downpour. I spent at least 1 hour waiting for the rain to stop. When it did, my mechanic continued getting it fixed and we tested things out. Unfortunately, the problem has yet to be "fixed" so I'll need to find another day to go over (yet again) *sigh*

It's an interesting day indeed. At least, I spent my time doing plentiful of "useful" thing rather than sleeping at home :)

Happy Wedding

I just got back from a wonderful and entertaining wedding dinner of Mr. Goh in Melaka. The last time I went to Melaka was during the Chinese New Year and long before, I used to go Melaka pretty often. It's a very nice place and has changed a lot. It makes me remember many things, especially that someone which was so important to me once upon a time ago. I still remember that person but unfortunately, I'm not remembered :) Sometimes I just wish I have the psychic powers so that I know what the person is thinking.

It's the end of another day and the beginning of a new day. The memories of a human cannot be deleted like data in a computer. Like it or not, life goes on.

Mooncakes

It's mid-autumn festival today and I'll be having vegetarian dinner at home. I'll also be consuming a number of mooncakes for sure which I've bought but most importantly is to have an enjoyable and good time on this auspicious day.

Proton car value has been dropping, very much to an "unacceptable" stage. It is for that reason, I'll be sticking to my scrap metal longer. I wish I could change, but I can't afford for an Audi or BMW as yet. Magnum doesn't help me either even when I spend my time lining up to request for help by buying numbers *lol*

Nevertheless, Happy Mid Autumn everyone :)

Whew, time passes real fast and tomorrow is already Thursday. Another colleague is getting married over the weekends. I've been getting lots of wedding invitations but come to think of it, I'm no where near to a marriage *lol* Well, I wish I could get married too but unfortunately, there are no candidates. Maybe I should start advertising myself on the papers or look for girls from those match-making agencies, haha.

A camera-man by the name of Alvin took this photo and added some effects onto it so that the ugly guy in the photo looks a bit better :)

Be more understanding

Everyone has their own opinion on things. I believe in discussions as well as positive debates because sharing of thoughts, being honest are just some of the key essentials towards a fruitful discussion.

Unfortunately, some people see discussion or disagreement as an argument. Look, there's nothing wrong with sharing and spilling things out from your heart and mind as people could always give thoughts but it doesn't mean you have to agree on them. No one forces you to listen or follow as it is your choice and you have the final say what you want in your life. I don't care even if you want to do bungee jumping from your condominium unit but please don't conclude and think I always see myself right. Again, I'm just telling you my views, I'm not asking you to listen so please, can't things be discussed nicely?

Besides, I don't think I'm always right and as a human, I do have faults. For as much as I respect others with what they want and enjoy doing, I seek the same respect from others on what I want. I don't mind if someone tells me "I suck" in a nice manner as it helps me to be a better person after all. Last but not least, thank you :p

Cyberjaya is far

There was a massive jam on MRR2 towards the Kesas highway this morning and it was due to an accident. Travelling 50 mins to work daily is indeed tiring and therefore I hope my next job would be around the KL vicinity which also offers me a good career prospect and $$$ *lol*

IT job is sometimes boring cos you have to sit in front of your workstation and the only time you go missing during working hours is that you have a meeting. Unfortunately, I hate meetings.

Lunch hour is here soon so I get to escape from work and have some sunlight :) It's been a good day so far.

Smoking kills

We know that a portion of the country's population are smokers. Well, there's nothing wrong if these people choose to smoke but the problem is, they shouldn't puff and blow it out towards people that doesn't smoke. Not only it stinks, it shows how cheap and uncivilized they are.

Ok, I believe some of them aren't intentional but please, always try not to let others consume your 2nd hand smoke. It really sucks if you were to ask me and I've been coughing as I smell it too much particularly from strangers.

Frequenting to the clubs would also make our lungs behave like a vacuum cleaner because we would be breathing in all these 2nd hand smoke. Nevertheless, say "Tak Nak" to smoking *lol*
