Car injuries (again)

It was a bad start for me today and my car seems to be sustaining injuries lately. I woke up a little later than usual and on my way to work, a small stone hit my car's windscreen and chipped it. The worse part is, it hit right in the middle and it's blocking my view now. I need to get it "patched" or "fixed" quickly as it's really bothering me. Besides that, my colleague pissed me off but thankfully, I'm feeling much better now. Anyway, it's lunch time - bon apetit :)

Next trip

How does it feel to come back to work after a vacation? Well, you feel a little happier, fresher and most of all, you feel like going for more vacations :) If only I'm a super millionaire, I'd probably go vacations or trips every single month.

I'm already thinking about the next trip and Thailand seems to be a good place. Nevertheless, my passport needs to be renewed and I'll have to burn RM300 for it. If only they have a 16 page passport for RM150, I'd definitely opt for that instead, lol.

Penang trip

I'm back from a few days of silence and the Penang trip was fantastic. We started our journey from KL at around 12:30PM and reached the Penang exit about 2 hours 45 mins later. I sped a little and I hope I won't get any tickets for it. Malaysian drivers are pathetic and there are even road hoggers on the highways. These prawn brained drivers probably thought 90-100 km/h is fast enough to be on the right lane.

We experienced slight traffic as we entered the Penang bridge. Some Penang drivers demonstrated their super mad moronic driving skills. I guess these poor drivers are left stranded in the island for too long with jams and they don't give way to others sometimes despite the other car turning on their indicator lights. The roads are mostly single lane and I hardly had the chance to speed. My car's odomoter never reached 80 km/h until the 3rd day as I was driving towards the bridge.

We stayed in Parkroyal Batu Ferringhi, Penang and I truly recommend this place. The service, beaches, rooms and resort is excellent (first time you heard me saying "good" for something eh? :p) However, the price of a deluxe room isn't cheap so be prepared :)

On our first night, we had seafood dinner at a restuarant near Gurney drive. The food was ok but it wasn't relatively cheap as we ended up paying KL price. The second night was also a seafood dinner in another restuarant and it would've been cheaper if we didn't order the fish that costs us RM108 :p

We had some fun with jet ski in the evening and it was real cool. 30 mins costs us RM75 and it isn't cheap but I'd definitely go for it again when I have the chance. We visited a few other places, had Assam Laksa (surely) and headed back home to KL on Monday. It was raining heavily along the highways and I had been pressing my car horn tremendously in order to alert the prawn brained road hoggers to stay out of my way as I travel home :)

Vacation finally

I finally got everything configured back on my notebook including softwares that'll enable me to hack and modify stuffs in my W800i. The bluetooth wasn't even working earlier and I have to install the service pack from HP's website. Nevertheless, I learn my lesson and I will be getting a portable hard disk so I could backup my stuffs often. It's just pain in the ass when hard disk crashes.

Time passes so quickly and it's now end of November. It'll be an exciting weekend ahead as I'll be on vacation. I'm going out of KL city to enjoy and have fun but instead, I could've joined Eric and wife to Cambodia but my passport expired. Bad timing huh? Well, it happens :)

Anyway, have a happy weekend folks. Please enjoy your day and life, whenever and wherever, haha.

Car fixing episode

I spent the whole day fixing my car. The damage wasn't super serious but bad enough to make the car look terrible. Total damage of the day would be RM370 inclusive of the side mirror, mud guard fixing and re-painting. The paint work is excellent and my car looks great now (only on the sides) :)

First, we had the new side mirror painted:

KL's slowler coaster

Today was my second experience on the KL monorail. The first time was a long way back and it was when the monorail first started. My journey began when I got into the "Chow Kit" monorail station. I am heading towards the "Imbi" station as I'll be meeting up my good pal, Mr. Eric. The condition of the station is ok if not poor but at least they have toilets around (STAR LRT doesn't have them). I waited about a minute or two and the train finally arrived. I got in and there are plenty of empty seats as it's the second stop from the last station.

The train started moving and I begin to feel the bumpiness and jerks of it. If you were to ask me how confident I am on my safety, I'd probably tell you it's on the minimum level. After all, this is a Malaysian monorail and remember the incident where the monorail wheel fell off then hitting someone's head? How about the STAR LRT train that stops at the "right" time, just before it falls to the ground? :) As the train moved on and stopped, more and more passengers entered until it was probably 70% filled up. By that time, I was asking myself if this thing is stable enough. Yes, I know the monorail has never fell down before but again, this is Malaysia. You wouldn't know when it would fall and it can be anytime. Plus, the authorities only work on the problem after an accident or incident happens as that's the Malaysian style.

To be honest, I didn't enjoy the ride but I have no choice as I wanted to beat the traffic. The monorail experience is pathetic as it's some kind of slow moving roller coaster which isn't comfortable at all and unstable. Besides, the fares are pretty costly for the short travelling distance.

Nevertheless, we should thank our government for the wonderful work they have done to ensure the train systems are in place. Of course, we have different train systems running around the city with NOT even a SINGLE interchange station between all 3 of them. I guess this is the best Malaysia could do despite failing most of the things since 1957.

I do not know how long it'll take for these people to understand and learn how to develop the country's economy and stop talking about wealth and equity distribution which they deem is not fair. The Non-bumi's might be richer than them because they worked hard for everything and if they all leave the country one day, it's the day where Malaysia would start to drown and sink. In the hands of these bunch of people that only knows how to talk about wealth distribution, nothing would ever work out.

Bad luck

It's a week of bad luck. First, my notebook's harddisk crashed and I lost every single piece of data in it. Nothing was recovered and it took me one whole Monday for the desktop team guys to help me reinstall Windows in a new harddisk.

Today, my car's right side mirror was crushed and the side dented. It looks like I'm having dents on both sides of the car now. It'll definitely take a whole day to fix and repaint and I won't be going to work tomorrow. This is really killing me :(

Snails

One of the dishes for lunch today were snails. This is the first time I took it and I have no idea what's it called and where did it came from. There were other dishes and lunch was appetizing.

It's another 2.5 hours before I could go back home and enjoy the weekends ahead. I hope it wouldn't rain heavily or else it'll be a massive Friday evening jam.

"Pain in the ass" people

Do you love your company? I'm sure some of us do but most of us won't. Well, I don't understand why bosses loves to make our life miserable. It is just because they are in the position to take charge and make decisions, they sometimes do not remember their early days as an executive but end up with silly yet illogical resolutions and expecting everyone to follow. Most if not all of them are just pain in the ass. We all work hard, getting screwed for mistakes, never thanked or appreciated when we became the hero while the credit always goes to them.

It is for all these reasons, staffs are often demotivated and unable to perform. An unhappy staff will result in lesser productivity and a huge group of them would not be good for the company. If the bosses have lost their brain, I just hope they could get one back :) It's easy to be a boss but to be a boss that is well respected and able to make right, sane and useful decision is truly a great challenge.

Back to office

It's the last day of my 3 days leave and I've definitely enjoyed it. It makes me feel reluctant to get back to office tomorrow since I've been lazing around and I wish I have more annual leaves to spend. On the other hand, my MSN is giving me problems as I can't connect and send messages correctly. I hope it'll be fixed soon.

Haircut screwed up

I went for my haircut today and it's now super short. It wasn't what I intended it to be and ideally, it should look like the photo shown below. Please only refer to the hair style, not the person and I intentionally pixelize everything because it ain't important except for the hair, haha. Besides, pixelizing the photo is also to protect the actual identity of the person *lol*

It's late and time for bed - just got back from DotA

Monday night movie

We went for movies last night and it was my first time watching on a Monday night. It was pretty good and now I'm thinking if I carry such powers just like Caleb. Oh well, perhaps I wouldn't want to have something like that either. I'll be using it all over particularly on my bosses :) The air cond in the cinema is really cold and I guess they should re-adjust the temperature to make viewers have a more pleasant environment to enjoy the movie. If you haven't watched "The Covenant", go ahead and give it a try :)

Genting trip

I just got back from Genting and the trip was pretty fun but rather exhausting. I lost count on how many times I walked from Theme Park Hotel where we stayed over to First World :) We played pool and bowling but I did not join them for the outdoor theme park. The weather was cooling, been raining and drizzling a little. I had a hard time sleeping last night as it was too cold for me and I've only got shorts.

Eric happen to snap a couple of photos for us but will have to wait for him to download them. The 2 photos below was taken with my W800i whereby one of them is the view from the hotel and the other is Eric (professional camera man) in action *lol* My advice to the public is, it's better to stay in some other hotel rather than Theme Park Hotel.

Lotteries anyone?

First prize for today is 6102 and if only I knew, I'd be putting all my money onto it, haha. Well, I didn't buy any lotteries today and I've never struck one before *sobs* The slogan at the bottom says "TOTO GAMES GIVE YOU MORE WINNING CHANCES". It's pure rubbish and it doesn't give us more chances to win. I believe "Magnum" and "Pan Malaysian Pools" gives better chances to win instead.

There are many scams and conmen these days claiming they can help you strike lotteries. Please be careful and never ever trust them. This is a community message brought to you by me.

A poor snooker player

I played snooker today and it's been near to 2 weeks since I last played. I've been playing like shit, unable to pocket, no positioning on the coloured balls, etc. I'm such a lousy snooker player these days and I've turn from bad to worse. Anyway, it was just casual play, no betting involved as there's not many people around. The only way I could get back on track is to play and train more often which isn't possible. Besides, I don't even have a cue!

Relaxing November week ahead

It's the end of another challenging week and I'll be on leave from Mon - Wed next week. I always feel good when there's off days ahead as I could have time for myself and escape from doing donkey jobs in office. I don't have plans except for Genting Highlands on Sunday so schedule is very much open and free :)

Time passes so quickly and year 2007 is just around the corner with December coming in another 3 weeks. I just feel that I've been wasting plenty of time and I'll be 27 in less than 3 months. It sounds scary isn't it? Well, that's reality and everyone ages. 3 years down the road, I'll be 30. My gosh, I'll have a number "3" as the first number of my age and I'm no where near the success that I want. It's just saddening and disappointing for the time being but I really hope something would work out soon.

Btw, what do you think of this clock? Cool ain't it? :) Well, I stole it from someone's page, haha.

Buy me FCUK

Let's talk a little bit about fashion today. Ok, I know I'm not very much into fashion and I don't dress good but what the heck, lol. French Connection or better known as FCUK is a UK based company founded in 1969. The logo itself resembles the word "Fuck" and it's pretty cool. However, I've yet to own any garments from FCUK so if anyone wants to get it for me as a Christmas gift, I'd surely be happy :) In the meantime, I'm in a lookout for more Santarina and Santa Clauses :p

Thursday Birthday

The mouth ulcers are still not going away but much better today. At least I could slowly swallow food without screams of pain. I wonder what have I done to get all these punishments, sigh. I've been getting sick so frequently that I've been losing weight. Perhaps I need to eat more fruits like apples or oranges.

Someone told me I should try doing sales rather than IT. I don't have a problem changing lines but I have a problem if I'm not getting the salary I've been earning so far, haha. Come on, who wants to leave a current job for lesser money unless there's a super good reason for it. Life is tough and I'm just going through this stupid IT routine job daily without seeing how I could own a BMW real soon. Something needs to change and it has to come fast.

Today is Cheryl's birthday so I would like to take this opportunity to wish her Happy Birthday and may she have all the best in her future undertakings. Happy Birthday Miss Cheryl Ooi Tze Wei :)

Small brain people

I don't understand what's the problem with this guy. It's either that he totally doesn't understand everything, he's got a small brain or he's plain lazy. Despite numerous attempts training and telling him on how to do something, he still comes back and ask the same questions *faints*

This is very bad especially in an MNC company. I can't believe this is happening and I'm sick and tired of answering the same stupid question again and again. I don't get what's so hard to understand and I can't be going through computer basics, do I?

On the other hand, its sickening when people come and surround me at my desk watching what I'm doing. I just don't like it and I'll stop doing my stuffs, just read something and act dumb. These are just uneducated people that likes to stand behind other people's notebook and watch what people are doing - no manners.

I'm so tired

It was raining like cats and dogs yesterday evening as I left work. The roads were flooded up and traffic was bad (as always). Whenever it rains, people stop driving correctly. Maybe there's some kind of disease preventing them to drive normally when it's wet :)

I got home at about 7pm and I was really tired. I needed a nap badly so I lied down on my bed and started sleeping. I skipped dinner cos my mouthful of ulcers makes me feel reluctant to eat. I only got up later at the night to take the antibiotics, apply oral paste onto the ulcers and head back to sleep.

This morning when I got up, I still feel tired and sleepy. I just wonder what's gone wrong.

Pain in the mouth

I'm back to work in office today. My reaction was kinda slow as I just recovered. A typical Monday morning, so many "shits" to clean and work to be done. My mouth still has ulcers, makes it hard for me to eat or even swallow liquids. The oral paste helps but it isn't doing enough to make the ulcers go away quick. Perhaps it needs more time. It feels so terrible and I don't understand what causes all these. This is sick and pathetic. I want to get well soon and enjoy eating and drinking like everyone else. Stupid ulcers - GO AWAY!!!

Get well soon, Alvin

It's been a while and I've been missing for the past week. I was badly down with fever, a viral infection that had me lying on my bed most of the time. I'm much better now but I have ulcers in my mouth so I can't eat well as it hurts. I've never experienced anything like that in my life before (this is the first) and I hope I'll never have such times again, ever!

I don't know how long it'll take for the ulcer to go off but I've been applying oral paste everyday. Such experiences makes life even more dull than ever. Nevertheless, I thank all my friends that showed their care during this period of time.
