www.coolmalaysian.com

www.coolmalaysian.com is the latest work by me. I installed the forum with the help of a friend and manage to get it up and running. I never thought "php" could be so much fun especially when installing the hacks which enhances the board feature. Well, it's not hard and even a non-IT person could do as long as he/she spend some time understanding it. If you want to support me and the forums, please visit the site and register while posting a few topics as this would certainly help :) Thanks a lot folks!

2 years anniversary

Time flies really fast and my blog site has been in existance for 2 years but I missed the anniversary tho' as it's suppose to be last month. Nevertheless, it's pretty much an achievement for someone that doesn't blog a lot like me. Particularly, I don't enjoy sharing every bit of my life publicly and I tend to keep things to myself, loved ones or my circle of friends.

A lot has changed for the past 2 years and one thing for sure is that I am very much older and gained plenty of weight. I'm fat (sulks!!). Life is no doubt challenging and I hope I would be able to overcome the challenges ahead, be successful and to complete the milestones I have set for myself which at this moment of time, 1% accomplishment - lol

Am I failing? Hopefully not :)

The police (again)

I went home later than usual last night and I was pulled over by a police car. Immediately after I stopped, I took out my IC and driving license then wind down the window before he walks over. I was being very co-operative because I was terribly sleepy so it's best to save up time if I could.

The first question he asked was whether I know why I was stopped. I told him I've got no idea but basically I thought it must be my car plate number again. He then told me I had an illegal U-turn and there were even barriers and a sign board there. I challenged him back by saying the barriers were no longer there but he said it was there and some people might have knocked them down so they could do the U-turn illegally. I said "OK, that's fine" so he proceeded back to his patrol car.

I was like what the heck and I might get another ticket for this but I don't really care. About 10 seconds later, he walked back to me again and asked me to open my car boot. I stay put at the driver's seat after opening the boot but he told me I should get down and open it as that is the procedure and it's my car. It's a good thing in my opinion because at least I could make sure he didn't throw something inside to frame me up (if he ever has that in mind).

After that, I got back into the car and I heard him radio to the station with my IC number. I guess he must be trying to check if I have a criminal record (sucks!). He then came over after a short while and returned my IC and license and to my surprise, he didn't gave me a ticket or even ask for anything. I'm really amazed by that so I apologized for the illegal U-turn and left.

Well, I guess the Royal Malaysian Police had certainly change a little ;)

Impressive Honda

How do you like this car? A DOHC 2.4 litre Honda Accord I-VTEC with 5 speed automatic transmission. Impressive ain't it? :) I still think the 3 series looks a little better.

Screwed up Putra LRT

I traveled with Putra LRT yesterday evening and the ride was horrifying. There were service disruption and it delayed me by at least 20 mins. The train waits around 5-7 mins on every station it stops. Not only that, it was hot and stuffy inside with almost ZERO air cond.

Some stupid government officials claim we have a good public transportation system and it's time to impose levies for vehicles entering the city during peak hours. My question is, how the heck do they expect people to travel via these stupid train systems when it breaks down so often and don't even have a proper air-cond system? The fares aren't cheap if you compare to Singapore's MRT (dollar to dollar) and this shows why Malaysia is a continuous failure. From service to reliability, everything fails!

The government only knows how to make ridiculous ideas and comments without putting more efforts on how we can improve the public transportation. Action speaks louder than words so make the change and let the public have more faith rather than just plain crap talking. Nevertheless, welcome to Malaysia!!!

Streamyx screws up again!

I really don't know what's wrong with Malaysian ISP and broadband. It really sucks and I've been experiencing bloody slow Streamyx connection for the past few days. Why does this always have to happen. Year 2007 and all these crap still occurs every now and then. On the other hand, we don't have much choices as TMnet in a way monopolizes broadband services in the country. When I was in US, the crap hotel's broadband line is much faster than our top class broadband Streamyx connection. Welcome to Malaysia!
