Merdeka

Oh well, it's the 49th Independence Day for the country. I didn't went for the countdown, slept early at about 9PM yesterday. The weather is hot today and I feel like being in a microwave owen. I had to turn the air-cond on but hopefully it'll rain tonight. It's always nice to sleep at night when it rains :)

Have a good holiday everyone :)

Buddha

I notice a very beautiful white Buddha statue at my Master's place since some time ago. I've been keeping an eye on it and it's really nice :) Lately, I have even more urge to invite it home. I intend to place it on the altar but it probably wont fit so perhaps I'll just have to put it in my room.

Thank you to Seng Seng

TIMEnet hosting is down again and you can expect the images to have broken links and the background music to stop working. It's rather disappointing as this is the 2nd time it goes down in 6 months. I wonder where is the realibility of the service.

I have found a new alternative as a great pal of mine (Mr. Eric Chooy) provided me hosting on his server with free bandwith and disk space :) He's a charming guy and already taken now but not married as yet. The two photos below were taken at Steven's Corner last Saturday:

Mr. Eric Chooy sms-ing someone

Mr. Eric Chooy still sms-ing someone (after 10 mins)

Apparently he's been very busy and occupied with sms-es these days. Perhaps he has a larger circle of female friends lately :)

Motorola V3

I want to get a Motorola V3 (used) for myself as a replacement to my office cell phone. The reason is because I could then use my Bluetooth hands free with it. I'm getting old these days and my hands are tired if I hold onto the phone for too long, lol.

A used V3 costs around RM400+ at the present time while a new one retails for about RM600. That's the best and cheapest alternative phone I could think about and not to mention it's wonderful slim and sleek design. Anyone that would like to sell his/her phone, let me know :)

Lovely Sunday

It was a pleasant Sunday and I brought grandma out for a walk, see Master, dinner then getting groceries in TESCO Ampang. There weren't that many people in TESCO today so it makes the buying easier :) I also brought grandma to Coffee Bean and have a cup of good Mocha before we head home. It's rather unfortunate that there isn't any Starbucks or San Francissco Coffee nearby so we ended up going to the worse place ;)

Friday *yippie*

It's another week and finally the pay day arrives. Nevertheless it's not making me anywhere richer either as I've got loans to pay off. The weekends would be something that I always look forward to, basically because I could spend time with friends and grandma.

Work was alright but it hasn't been ideal. I'm getting more stuffs and donkey jobs into my plate but I don't have much choices about it. I just hope my year end appraisal would be able to motivate me further :) For the past 3 months, two of my bosses saw me surfing and applying for jobs online. They didn't say much and I don't know what they are thinking about it either.

I'm suppose to go paint-balling with my colleagues tomorrow but due to some unforseen circumstances, I had to call it off. However, I hope they'll have a good and fun time.

Toilet revolution

The deputy prime minister tells the public its time for toilet revolution. The greatest joke is after all these years and only in 2006, the government and the people understand the importance of clean toilets? As we all know, the public toilets in Malaysia are normally lousy if not terrible. It is only in certain huge shopping complexes where the toilet is at least in an acceptable state.

The DPM also says we need a national effort to change the culture and attitude of the general population with regards to having cleaner toilets. The thing is, majority of the people's mentality is simply so hard to change. At the current pace that we're going, I just don't believe we could achieve the 2020 vision. A simple thing as driving slow on the correct lane can't even be practiced by most Malaysian motorists :) How do you expect the country to advance further?

Obstacles and goals

Life is tough, full of challenges. I'm happy and glad for who and what I am, that I'm gifted with what I have. Sometimes the things we do might make people hate us but at times it's really unavoidable. I'm sure plenty of us don't want to do things we dislike but explaining and getting the offended party to listen and understand is simply such a pain.

I notice my thinking changed tremendously and I believe I'm a much better person than before. However, it doesn't mean I'm perfect or good enough and there is still plenty of room for improvements. I really thank my Master for everything he has taught and guided me, that he's the one and only person that helped me so much and my family.

I'm still optimistic that I'll find the love of my life, that'll I'll be a great husband and father even at this point of a time. I guess being a relationship failure for a couple of time doesn't mean we're a failure for life. For now, I could only be positive and hold on to hopes that she will appear soon. Apart from that, I would also want a good career and which failure is never acceptable. For all the high expectations and perfection I have for myself, I promise that I'll always strive hard to achieve what I want in life.

Wednesday morning

I slept at 9 something last night after dinner but I haven't been getting good sleep lately. I tend to wake up and have stupid silly dreams, those scary ones, haha.

I reach office this morning at 8.28AM and the last time I came this early was probably a year ago :) As I've got some free time to spare, I read a bit of news on the Star online. It is really saddening that snatch thieves are all over these days and it poses a great threat to the public. Unfortunately, the police is still not doing much about it but to catch innocent civillians and tax payers like us. It looks like we're not going to get good sense of security for some time.

Gloomy day

I just don't understand why you have to lie. You could just be honest to me and I don't mind. Btw, I'm not a network expert but I'm smart and kind enough to help you with your assignment. Why'd you have to do this to me?!

Sorry folks, not feeling good today but thanks for everyone's care and support. Well, I had my rear power window fixed and I manage to capture a photo of how the door looks like from the inside. Good technology from Proton ain't it? :) It's just a piece of metal with no protection or sound proof.

Wonderful Sunday

I brought grandma for a walk in KLCC yesterday. We had some good hot mocha at San Francisco Coffee and then continued walking. Everywhere were on sales and it wasn't exactly cheap but I manage to grab something for myself from TOPSHOP. In fact, the item that I bought does not carry any discounts but thanks to my member card, I had a 10% off (which isn't a lot anyway)

I met up with Eric at night and I would like to thank him for the stuffs he brought back from Langkawi :)

Astrology

We were discussing about astrology and it is indeed interesting. I didn't know astrology has 4 sets of elements with 3 horoscopes in each of them until today :p I then did some research on this and found out that my horoscope (Aquarius) falls under the "air" element together with my best love match Libra and Gemini.

There are some similiarities between these 3 horoscopes as a whole. The air element horoscopes are the talkers and communicators of the zodiac. If one needs something written or spoken, all they have to do is ask an air sign.

The air folks have plenty of ideas that seem to materialize out of thin air. These people are like the air we breathe; always moving and changing. It's just when others think they know us, we tend to change again.

Air element horoscopes are also very social and like the air, these people hate to be restricted. Freedom of thought and movement are their most cherished desires.

At the same time, I'm trying to learn palmistry as it is even more interesting :)

Scrap metal exhaust

The original Waja exhaust is a 4-1 setup which means it gives better acceleration power over top speed for the stock car. However, I got it changed to a 4-2-1 setup which is suppose to give a better top speed, losing out some torque. In fact, who cares because the default Waja 4G18P engine is just a piece of crap. I wanted to get it changed to a MIVEC once upon a time ago but glad I didn't proceed with it because it's simply a silly idea. Nevertheless, I'll be getting a Civic 2.0 I-VTEC for sure if only I have the "moo-lah".

The last time I drove back from Melaka, I manage to achieve a top speed of only 175km/h, far below what I've once clocked (200 km/h). I know it's crazy for a piece of scrap metal to move this fast but rest assured that I know what I'm doing. Besides, I only speed on roads which are "safe" enough and FREE from hoggers and reckless drivers. I know I never adhere to speed limits or emm, even traffic rules? :p

Late again

I woke up late again this morning (8AM) but manage to reach work around 9.15AM as the traffic wasn't bad. As usual, there are road hoggers and reckless drivers all over. Sometimes I just don't feel like sympathizing accident victims because for all you know, they are just reckless drivers.

I have about 100+ people in my friendster list and there are quite a number which I don't even know who they are. Some are just added for the sake of adding, doesn't chat or reply messages so I guess my best bet would be to delete them off. At times I just feel disturbed by such ignorant acts of these people :) At the same time, I'm in a mood to do some clean-up.

Career

I'm a career conscious person and that makes me think a little too much sometimes. I feel terribly bored with what I'm doing lately and I hope I don't have to be stucked with all these donkey and routine jobs forever. I want a promotion or a better career prospect and hopefully that will happen sometime next year. I want to own so many things when I'm 30, particularly a BMW and a semi-D.

I can't imagine myself not having what I want despite so much hard work that I've put in. It'll definitely make me feel as if I'm a total failure. No matter what, I'll always try my very best to assure that I'll succeed. The high expectations would always stay and may success be with me.

Am I'm crapping again? *lol*

Sex and nose picking

I've been eating so much these days and what if I become fat? *freaks* OMG, I don't want to be fat :( I'm lazy to go exercise and I never been to the gym before. I guess I need to think of a way to keep fit, haha.

There's this joke about sex and nose picking:

Question: You know why girls enjoy sex?
Answer: If you try picking your nose, ain't it feel nice? Well maybe :p

Question: Why girls don't like sex during period?
Answer: Use some common sense, would you still enjoy nose picking when your nose is bleeding?

Question: Why don't girls enjoy sex when the guy uses condoms?
Answer: Try picking your nose with your fingers in gloves. I bet you won't enjoy it either

Question: Why girls don't like to be raped?
Answer: Do you like other people picking your nose? Hahaha

Disappointing

I notice she doesn't even remember nor appreciate me even I've done so much for her. Everything seems to have been wiped out of her mind. I'm not asking for a return but why can't we be friends even we're not meant for each other? Humans do change and does she ever understand that I've changed to a better person as well? Anyway, it's up to her and I basically don't care :) I just feel its a waste and total disappointment on the way she thinks and behave towards me.

Love is sometimes so difficult and I've been screwing up so many times. Wait, was it really all my fault? I did think about it and tried to rectify as many as I could but please, give me a break. I can't be the one forever at fault *lol*

I'm not trying to ask for sympathy and whatever that has passed will never come back. I have no intentions to bring back anything but I never thought 3.5 years of time spent together doesn't even result in a friendship at the end of the day. I hope she'll have a good husband in the future and I will get my right one soon :)

Note: I did not find her or meet her up, didn't call her or anywhere near her.

Limited Edition Coke

Yesterday, Eric told me where to buy limited edition Coke's and without much hesitation, I proceeded to Great Eastern Mall after work and got myself 8 cans of different designed Coke's from Japan. It's simply cool and this is my first set of limited edition Coke's that I have in my collection.

I now have a total of 59 cans/bottles and I'm running out of space to put them. I'd probably need to think about getting a new cupboard or shelve but another constraint comes into my mind. I have a small room and a bigger shelve would mean my room is going to run out of space. Problematic :( Therefore the best solution is to get a bigger house for myself soon and get a nice sweet red coloured shelve (to match the colour of Coke).

I would also like to denote that I'm collecting Coke for myself and has no relation to anyone else :)

My Monday

Yesterday morning I came late to work as I had my rear tyre/rim checked. It looks like there were a small crack in the inner part which causes the air to leak out. This has resulted me in having a flat tyre for the past week without even noticing it. You can say I'm either dumb or ignorant :p

I sent it to be welded and it costs me RM60. I'd say it wasn't cheap and it causes plenty of troubles. Firstly, I was spotted by a patrol car as I was talking on the phone while driving and hence, I have to "burn" some cash :) You know what I mean.

As I was given a spare tyre/rim in the interim while they fix my rim, I had to drive much slower than usual and this was the first time ever that I drove 70 km/h (max) all the way from Cyberjaya to Ampang. How does it feel? Well, the feeling sucks and it's just too SLOW.

Many people noticed there were something wrong with my tyres and some honked to tell me about it. I was glad and suprised there are still nice motorists around (despite the thousands of road hoggers) that would remind others when they spot something abnormal. However, there are no more than 10 people which did that.

Overall, I had a pretty terrible day and it's a Monday anyway. Nevertheless, I hope Tuesday would be a better one :)

Proton Waja MME

There's a new WAJA in town, called the WAJA MME and it comes in only one colour which is the "Deep Burgundy". There are quite a number of enchancements but one thing cool would be the HID lights that comes with it. I personally haven't seen the real car before but it looks pretty good on the photos.

The WAJA MME is only available in a 5-speed manual transmission and priced at RM66K (which is quite expensive for a local made scrap metal) I apologize for calling it a "scrap metal" but I just can't help it because I own one and I know how well it is :)

Snooker

I used to enjoyed snooker a lot and could even play for 10-12 hours non-stop. I had eventually lose my interest in it, probably because I'm just a lousy player or my skills hasn't been improving much.

The last snooker cue that I bought was an O'min Classic for RM480. For people that doesn't play snooker, I know they'll be asking why am I so stupid in spending that much of money on a piece of wood?!. Well, there are differences in every cue and different wood would yield different results.

I happen to played 5 hours of snooker with friends on Saturday night. I was tremendously tired when I got home about 4+ and as expected, I spent plenty of time recharging my lost energy :p This resulted me to miss my lunch on Sunday, haha.

It looks like the same tyre which was punctured that day wasn't properly patched and I'll have to re-do it again tomorrow morning before I drive to work. This is really a pain and I just hate doing all these :( The rear power window has been broken for more than a month and I didn't even fix it. It's time to think about changing cars.

My week

This is a short summary of the "wonderful" week I've had. The beginning of the week wasn't that bad but things became a little horrifying from yesterday onwards. I'd to say I haven't been reading much about horoscopes or "feng shui" lately but never thought things would be terrible on a wonderful Thursday and Friday.

I've always enjoyed my Friday at work but not today particularly because there are too much rubbish to clear. My desk phone have been ringing too many times today and that's not good :(

On top of that, my car was dented on the front left part thanks to a nice gentleman that opened his car door as I pass through a small one lane road. He was probably drunk or "high" on drugs but since the damage wasn't that bad after all, I didn't ask him to pay. Hence, I'll be burning a hundred or two myself to get it fixed.

I manage to polish up a little and at least it looks a bit better:

Sony Ericsson phone modding

When I was much younger, I modded computers and overclocked them. When I was a little older, I started investing chunks of money in car modding. As I'm much older now, I began to venture into phone modding which is FREE, haha.

I recently read about how I could play around more with my W800i and it is rather interesting. To date, I have modified a couple of stuffs which includes extending my sms storage space to follow the free memory available (if you look at the screenshot, it says I have 30,000+ available), updated my firmware to the latest (R1BC002), patched the "accept" list to become a "black" list, changed my font settings to smaller ones and other enchancements like camera + display drivers, etc.

The thing is, everyone that reads, understands and follows the guide/instruction would be able to do all these so it ain't anything great but most importantly, I had great fun trying it out. You need a little bit of guts too because most people would freak out :p

Lazy colleague

I have a Malay colleague and he's lazy. He talks a lot and gives plenty of unnecessary concerns but doesn't share the workload of the team as a whole. I believe it's just his own individual problem and I have a strained working relationship with him. Unfortunately, it is not only me but there are vast number of people that he's having working problems with.

It is difficult to work with people like this but I can't do much because I'll be stuck with him in the same team for a while until someone new is hired. At the end of the day, it will be either me that'll be leaving or him to leave.

I guess this explains why our country is still so "advanced" :)

I use to have a bluetooth handsfree (HBH-600) from Sony Ericsson but it ain't compatible with my W800i because it just don't work, haha. I'm thinking of getting a bluetooth handsfree again and this time it'll be the Sony Ericsson HBH-PV700. It looks pretty slim, cool and not as ugly as the Motorola ones :p The price is also reasonable.

My Saturday

It's been a good Saturday and I woke up a little earlier than usual (2PM something) *lol* I went out with grandma to see Master, did some shopping and went dinner with her at Wong Kok. The food there ain't great but its Saturday evening and everywhere else is packed.

I hate to say this but would like to stress again that most Malaysian drivers are pathetic and lousy. They don't give way to others, hog the road, move like a snail when the lights turn green. Of course, I'm not saying they should speed like an F1 car but please accelerate at a reasonable speed so people behind would be able to move and not wait another 2 rounds of traffic lights.

I saw a couple of BMW 5-series today and I begin to like it more and more. I wish and wish and wish I could own one sometime soon, haha. Err, I'd be happy with a 525i and the first thing I'll do is to change the rims. BMW is super - The Ultimate Driving Machine.

Fire drill

There was a fire drill activity in office yesterday evening. I spent nearly 2 hours standing and talking crap, waiting for the time to pass. It was long and I wish they would've done it earlier because it affects my working hours. I hate to go back after 6PM you see *lol*

On my way to work today, I spotted a funny Mercedes Benz. I really have no idea what model that is but it's really weird looking. I'm glad tomorrow is Saturday and I don't have to work :) I just hope nothing screws up because I hate just as much when I'm called during weekends.

The pain of driving

I no longer car pool with my buddies so I'll have to drive myself to work. I still car pool with another colleague once in a while but that's not sufficient enough to prevent me from spending more than RM500 for fuel a month.

Thanks to the Malaysian government, petrol prices are now at RM1.92 per litre. I would love to take public transportation but they are terribly inconvinient and inconsistent. The LRT routes aren't properly designed and buses don't really come on time.

I am sick with the attitude of most Malaysian drivers. They drive slowly and recklessly, hog the road and they never tend to learn nor admit their mistakes. I believe that as long as the mentality and culture of the Malaysian people does not change, this country would not go anywhere.

RM25

I haven't been changing my car's engine oil for months and it's already running near to 10,000KM's so I decided to do it yesterday after work. The mechanic was nice enough to do a checkup for my car and we found out that the rear reverse bulb was not working and the rear tyre was punctured. I guess it's been a while and silly me, I didn't even notice it :(

The charges were very reasonable and I'd say it's very cheap as I paid RM25 only for the oil filter, rear reverse light bulb, workmanship to get my engine oil changed + tyre patched. I'd surely like to return and get my car serviced there the next time :)

A big nail went inside it:
