A retired computer addict

I remembered when I was young, I loved playing computer games so much. I'll go computer shops weekly and browse through every game titles available and buy some once in a while. I was a poor kid, didn't have a lot of money to buy every game I want. Although I never finish most of my games, I enjoyed them a lot.

I haven't been gaming for a while, especially after I sold my heavily "overclocked" desktop machine some time ago. Those days, I was a super duper computer freak that would shop for hardware every month and I'll frequent Low Yat Plaza every week.

The excitement of overclocking is simply fun and great. The objective is to push the hardware up to its limit. One of my biggest record was overclocking a 1.43Ghz AMD AthlonXP T-bred all the way up to 2.5Ghz with water cooling. I soldered extra resistors and wires on my motherboard and even video cards. Life is sometimes unlucky and yes, I've burnt a number of hardwares before but that's when the RMA comes into picture (my savior) :)

When my interest for PC finally ended, that was when cyber cafe networking games started to get popular. I never learnt how to play "Counter Strike", a poor "Starcraft" player and all I know is probably "Command & Conquer". As I was having lunch today, people were talking about "Dota". I know it's been here for a while but it does sounds interesting. Perhaps I should just try it out and start getting addicted to games again.
