The police (again)
I went home later than usual last night and I was pulled over by a police car. Immediately after I stopped, I took out my IC and driving license then wind down the window before he walks over. I was being very co-operative because I was terribly sleepy so it's best to save up time if I could.
The first question he asked was whether I know why I was stopped. I told him I've got no idea but basically I thought it must be my car plate number again. He then told me I had an illegal U-turn and there were even barriers and a sign board there. I challenged him back by saying the barriers were no longer there but he said it was there and some people might have knocked them down so they could do the U-turn illegally. I said "OK, that's fine" so he proceeded back to his patrol car.
I was like what the heck and I might get another ticket for this but I don't really care. About 10 seconds later, he walked back to me again and asked me to open my car boot. I stay put at the driver's seat after opening the boot but he told me I should get down and open it as that is the procedure and it's my car. It's a good thing in my opinion because at least I could make sure he didn't throw something inside to frame me up (if he ever has that in mind).
After that, I got back into the car and I heard him radio to the station with my IC number. I guess he must be trying to check if I have a criminal record (sucks!). He then came over after a short while and returned my IC and license and to my surprise, he didn't gave me a ticket or even ask for anything. I'm really amazed by that so I apologized for the illegal U-turn and left.
Well, I guess the Royal Malaysian Police had certainly change a little ;)
